The XP Sic Ceramic Vertical Sump Slurry Pumps are single-casing, axial suction, vertical centrifugal slurry pumps. They are specially designed for tank, pit, or sump conditions, with wetted parts made from Sic ceramic,;excelling in efficiently handling abrasive or corrosive slurries. and the lifetime is 4~8 times longer than metal pump. The pump body, excluding the bearing assembly and motor, is submerged below the liquid level to operate, eliminating the need for shaft seals and priming and requiring less floor space. These pumps boast strong anti-blocking and suction capabilities, along with reliability, long wear life, and versatility, proudly manufactured in our factory in China. Their durable parts are fully compatible with Warman SP vertical sump pumps and are interchangeable.
The XP vertical sump pumps feature an upper and lower double-suction semi-open impeller design, operating seamlessly even when the top inlet is not submerged, with screened inlets. The extension shaft can be customized up to 3.0 meters, and options include a suction extension pipe and agitator. Due to their optimal performance and adaptability, they are widely applied in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, coal, power plants, chemicals, and other industries. For highly corrosive slurries containing fine solid particles without sharp edges, our XP(R) rubber vertical spindle slurry pumps are more suitable and cost-effective, they are rubber-coated variants of the VP series

4. No Shaft Seal & No Priming:Seal-free design requires no seal water or pre-priming, greatly reducing daily operation and failure risks.
5. Strong Suction & Dry Run Ability:Double-suction semi-open impeller works stably even with unsubmerged inlet, supporting safe idling operation.
6. Excellent Anti-Clog Performance:Wide flow passage and screened inlet design effectively block large impurities and avoid pump blockage.
7. High-Efficiency Adjustable Structure:Adjustable impeller gap keeps stable pumping efficiency. Detachable ceramic impeller makes replacement fast and easy.
8. Reliable Bearing System:Upper-mounted grease-lubricated roller bearings, no underwater bearings, ensuring long service life and low failure rate.
9. Dual Drive Options:Available with direct drive or V-belt drive to flexibly adjust pump performance for different working needs.
10. Great Cost Performance:Zero seal water consumption, low maintenance, less downtime and higher productivity, effectively reducing overall operating costs.

STRUCTURE SPECIFICATIONS
The vertical sump slurry pump is a single-stage, single-suction cantilever pump. It adopts a simple structural combination of bearing housing, support frame and intermediate pipe to connect the pump flow parts, and discharges slurry through the drainage pipe.
The pump is fitted with a semi-open impeller. Extended impeller blades are designed with stirring vanes to mix slurry evenly. The underwater pump shaft features high rigidity for stable operation.
No bearings or shaft seals are installed inside the impeller and pump casing. This seal-free structure allows the pump to easily deliver slurry with large solid particles without leakage or blockage.
The pump immersion depth ranges from 800mm to 2500mm. A matched suction pipe can be equipped according to actual working needs. With no underwater shaft seal, the whole submerged structure is more durable.
It adopts vertical motor top installation. The motor is fixed on the support base and connected to the pump via a coupling for stable power transmission

Pump Structure Exploded Drawing
The figure below displays the standard structure of the VP vertical sump pump, excluding optional accessories such as extension shafts, suction extension pipes and suction agitators. For custom long extension shaft models, an additional guide bearing and flushing water pipe will be installed at the middle shaft section to ensure stable and smooth pump operation.
This pump adopts a cartridge-type grease-lubricated bearing assembly. The upper part is fitted with a metric cylindrical roller bearing, while the lower part uses an imperial double-row tapered roller bearing. It features dual sealing protection combining labyrinth seals and skeleton oil seals for reliable sealing performance.

Suction Structure Options
XP series vertical sump slurry pumps come with three flexible inlet suction designs to fit different working conditions: standard strainer type, strainer with suction extension pipe, and strainer with agitator.
The standard version is equipped with a basic strainer. Users can optionally add a suction extension pipe or agitator to upgrade the pump’s working performance. These diverse suction configurations provide targeted, efficient solutions for various on-site slurry conveying needs. See the diagram below for specific details.
